EPISODE 1: A KINGDOM RISES
God’s movement all around the world; hope and judgment
The journey begins with a sweeping view of God’s movement across the globe, highlighting the first two films and the movement in Iran. From the ashes of persecution in the Middle East to the miraculous first baptisms in Mecca after 1400 years. Amidst the suffering and chaos, the episode showcases an enduring hope: the unstoppable advance of the Church, both underground and above ground, thriving even under oppressive regimes. Yet, as the Church rises, it’s tempered by a sobering reality of human frailty, exposing corruption and complacency, calling viewers to see the enduring power of Christ’s mission and soon return.
EPISODE 2: WOLVES AMONG SHEEP
Judgment and purifying of the church and how we should respond to Jesus in this time
God’s judgment shakes the Western Church, exposing leaders who traded true faith for comfort and power and calling believers not just to do things in the Name of Jesus but also His Character while reclaiming His heart for purity and love. Through stories of resilience, such as a disciple-maker in Myanmar who has endured unimaginable loss and enticements from the corrupt above-ground church, the episode reveals the cost of following Jesus and the need to protect the flock from wolves hiding within. It challenges viewers to confront their own hearts, distinguish between hurt sheep and wolves with predatory behavior, and join in a revival built on truth, humility, and love.
EPISODE 3: BLOOD AND SACRIFICE
Stories & visuals from all around the world
This episode dives into the heartbeat of the global movement: long-suffering, sacrifice, and the power of enduring faith. Through vivid stories from every corner of the world, it confronts the Church’s tendency to lean into comfort and calls for a renewed focus on true worship, which leads to movements historically. The Maranatha cry crescendos here, birthed in suffering but looking ahead to the hope of awakening and action.
EPISODE 4: THE ALTAR OF WORSHIP
What is worship & its role in making disciples
Worship takes the spotlight, not as fleeting emotional moments but as a daily rhythm of sacrifice and surrender that shapes mature disciples. Through powerful stories, including a Holocaust survivor’s journals of faith, the episode reveals how God dismantles false systems of worship and purifies His people’s hearts. It delves into the profound role of worship, exemplified by Israel sending worshipers ahead of their army, and concludes with a call to embrace authentic worship, uniting sacrifice with a strategy to advance the Kingdom and prepare for Jesus’s return.
EPISODE 5: THE MARANATHA CRY
Maturity and response of a Church on the altar
The cry of Maranatha, “How long oh Lord” & “Come Lord Jesus!” resounds in this episode, intertwining the Church’s mission with the universal longing for justice, peace, and equality. Through the voice of Papa Bear, a Native American believer from the Dakota tribe, we hear a powerful story of forgiveness and reconciliation, including the tribe’s act of extending grace to their oppressors. The episode challenges believers to see Jesus in the cries of the marginalized and broken, including the LGBTQ and BLM communities, responding with humility and love as God’s movement typically starts in the most oppressed communities all around the world.
EPISODE 6: MOVEMENTS TO MOVEMENTS
Unity and function of the church
The Church’s journey is one of unity and maturity. This episode contrasts the East, where identity is often tied to works for God, and the West, where evangelism is neglected, highlighting the need for fullness in our Christ Journey. It culminates in a vision of the Church as one unified body, thriving through personal encounters with God and collective action, fulfilling both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission of knowing Him and making Him known in every nation, tribe, and tongue.
EPISODE 7: FROM SINAI TO ZION
Urgency of who we look to and why it’s essential
The finale beautifully envisions the return of the Lord, tracing His journey from the clouds to Mount Sinai and Zion, while igniting hope for the Kingdom age to come. Through stunning imagery and powerful storytelling, it celebrates the ultimate victory over death and the reconciliation of all creation under the reign of the King of Glory. The message is clear: approach the altar, surrender your life, and unite as one voice to proclaim, “Maranatha!”
